The BIP21 format
A proper Bitcoin QR code uses the BIP21 standard, which looks like bitcoin:<address>?amount=0.005&label=Order123. This lets you optionally request a specific amount and attach a label, and almost every wallet app understands it. A plain address also works, but BIP21 is more convenient for payments.
How to create one
- Copy your wallet's receiving address.
